What a difference a summer makes for Eden Hazard it seems.
After a disappointing campaign last term, the Chelsea playmaker is close to being back to his majestic best this season.
And according to your votes, you feel that is the case too. We asked you before the international break to vote in our poll about which one of our 10 chosen players had made the most impressive start to the new season.
The players nominated were Hazard (Chelsea), Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling (both Manchester City), Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (both Manchester United), Sam Clucas and Curtis Davies (both Hull City), Ross Barkley (Everton), Alvaro Negredo (Middlesbrough) and Sadio Mane (Liverpool). Other was also an option.
And ahead of the fifth round of Premier League games, we’ve counted the votes and a mammoth 62% have voted in favour of Hazard.
The 25-year-old has shone in the Blues’ opening four matches so far – scoring in their opening day win over West Ham before providing an assist during their victory at Watford a week later.
Chelsea’s No 10 followed that up with a goal in their 3-0 win over Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United striker Ibrahimovic came second in the voting with 17%. The veteran Swede has netted four goals in as many league games for his new club as well as their winner against Leicester City in the Community Shield last month.
Sterling came third with 8%. The England international has scored two goals and provided two assists as he continues to look revitalised under City boss Pep Guardiola.
