Wolves have bolstered their defensive options, as they seek Premier League promotion, by signing Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on loan.
The 19-year-old has penned a season-long deal at Molineux in the hope of regular playing-time before returning to Old Trafford next summer.
Borthwick-Jackson made his United debut last November and played in 14 first-team games under previous manager Louis van Gaal.
Earlier this summer he signed a new contract at United but he is not part of new manager Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans at present.
‘Wolves is a big club with great facilities and a great set of fans and that is what attracted me,’ he told Wolves Player HD.
‘My aim is to come here and play as many games as I can and get some good experience in the hope of going back to United and challenging for the team.
‘Jose Mourinho has told me I have got a future there so I am looking to gain experience and then go back.
‘I have had interest from Premier League clubs and other Championship clubs but I really wanted to come here and try and help Wolves get back to where they belong in the Premier League.
‘That is an exciting challenge for me and I want to be the best I can be to improve.
‘I also know Wolves have been interested in me for a while so I am coming here to try and contribute as much as I can.’
Wolves have also signed Dutch winger Ola John on loan from Benfica.
